Passplus

ImagePass Plus is a short course comprising of a minimum of six hours and designed for new drivers, to improve attitudes and driving skills, after being successful with the standard practical test.

As we are Pass Plus registered with the Driving Standards Agency, we can help you achive this.

The added advantage of takin this course is that you also receive discounts on your insurance, which can easily outweigh the cost of this course, and there is NO TEST!

Within these hours of your Pass Plus tuition you will cover:

  • Town Driving
  • All-weather Driving
  • Out of Town and Rural Roads
  • Night Driving
  • Dual Carriageways
  • Motorways

At the end of your course, your instructor and you will complete a short form to confirm that you have completed the course to a satisfactory standard. This will then be sent to The Driving Standards Agency for authorisation of your certificate, which you will receive by post.

A recent survey carried out by the O.R.C. International for the Driving Standards Agency shows that 93% of people felt more confident on the road after taking the Pass Plus, whilst 89% of people felt thei driving skills had improved.

Town Driving

In this module you will be improving observation, judgement and awareness skills. Being more aware and cautious of other road users, especially the vulnerable. Displaying a more positive and safe attitude towards town driving in general.

All-weather Driving

This module covers the many types of British weathr conditions. You'll learn how the driver should react to speed, observatons and braking distances in rain, snow, ice fog, as well as the bright dazzling sunshine.

Out of Town and Rural Driving

This session will highlight the differences from that of town driving. Reading the road ahead; taking into consideratio bends, hills and dead ground. The dangerous manoeuvre of overtaking in safety, on all types of roads.

How to react to hazards such as horse-riders, farm entrances, slow moving vehicles or even the unexpected livestock.

Night Driving

This section covers all types of considerations for driving at night. The use of headlights, your sight in the dark, judging speed and distances, seeing cylclists (whilst remembering that they don't always use lights) and parking your car safely. All of these driving skills and hazards are different during the hours of darkness.

Motorway Driving

This section also deals with high vehicle speeds, whilst learning the rules and signs specific to motorway driving. You will cover joining and leaving the motorway, safe speed and driving distances and observation skills employed in looking at near, middle and far distances.

You'll also learn new motorway signs and the relevant motorway road markings, safe overtaking procedures and what your breakdown procedure should be (what you should do if this happens to you).
